Update 2020

On 24 March last, at the instance of a number of stakeholders in the sustainable energy transition in the Netherlands, Stichting SCO (SCO Foundation) founded a consortium dedicated to the further development, commercialisation and implementation of H2Fuel technology both in the economy and in society at large. The participants in the consortium are convinced that this circular fuel will play an important role in the world-wide energy transition and, moreover, that it is the key to the door to the hydrogen  economy of the future. The consortium has commissioned Delft’s University of Technology (TU Delft) and the University of Amsterdam (UvA) to supervise the remaining scientific aspects. The consortium’s current participants are leading players in their respective sectors. They include, amongst others, Rabobank Nederland, Eneco, Heerema, APG, Havenbedrijf Amsterdam (the Port of Amsterdam), TU Delft, UvA,  River Maas, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) (government), MVO Nederland (government) and Teso. Stichting SCO guides and advises the consortium and invites companies, institutes and governments to take part in the initiative. Further information can be found on the consortium’s website, www.solidhydrogen.com.
